Community Awareness of the issue of domestic violence and also the available resources are a critical component of the mission of the YWCA. The YWCA provides community education and outreach to schools, faith-based organizations, law enforcement, community groups and other professions to ensure individuals know the signs of abuse and how to respond. Most information sessions include a 60-minute presentation, activity and distribution of collateral materials.
