Each YWCA across the county maintains two Hallmark programs; one is for Economic Empowerment and the other focuses on Racial Justice.

Economic Empowerment

To assist clients with managing their financial affairs as well as obtaining employment, the YWCA utilizes the BB&T Financial Foundations Program. This online financial literacy program consists of a series of short ten-minute interactive learning courses. Individuals receiving shelter at Arden House will complete Financial Foundations as part of their program goals. This is directly tied to the mission of the YWCA as it supports individuals in living safe, independent lives. This free financial literacy program is available to individuals affected by domestic violence, who are not residing at Arden House. Click here to receive access to this program.

Racial Justice

The YWCA has partnered with Anne Arundel Community College to facilitate and encourage conversations across a broad spectrum of community members focused on being educated and sensitive to both similarities and differences. These groups are facilitated through a train-the-trainer model and can be replicated. For more information or to register, please contact the YWCA.
